The reading and video in this module address categories of risk and strategies for risk mitigation. For this discussion thread, you should assess 1) what can be done to reduce the risk that foreign intelligence entities present to U.S. organizations; and 2) how to reduce the risk that the United States will be blindsided by hostile actors. In addressing the latter issue, you should address lessons learned from prior U.S. intelligence failures (e.g., China’s intervention in Korea in 1950, and the 9/11 attacks in 2001).
